WRITE YOUR TASK 1

Dear Head Teacher,

In response to your request, I am writing to explain to you how school reunions can benefit the school and its former students. I understand that you have some questions and that you express interest in receiving additional information about our company.

Firstly, it is an event that offers the possibility of rekindling old friendships, reconnect with the teachers and revisit the learning spaces where they spend most of their years of adolescence.

Another important function, this not only benefits old students and teachers, but it also can be very positive for the former students of the school. Our company usually plan an hour where old students can inspire the former students by explaining them some anecdotes of their student time or how have they achieve a successful story.

Finally, related to details, the company has an extended range of possibilities going from a simple reunion on a cafe to rent out a property. Thanks to our variability of options are thought by people that our taxes are extravagant, but it is not. Our taxes are available for everyone and there is no financial obligation unless you cancel the reunion.

To conclude, holding reunions of old students is the speciality of this company without valuing the type. We expect that this letter helps you with your doubts and you choose us to organise the reunion.

WRITE YOUR TASK 2

Childhood obesity is a complex health issue. It not only makes a child have less energy and have a higher weight than normal to their age, but it also is the cause of a huge range of illnesses and future health problems. A part of advertising, another element to take into account is the influence of parents on child’s and their diary habits. So, the question is how many responsibilities for child obesity pertains to advertising and how much to parents’.

Critics affirm that food advertising strongly influences the eating choices of adolescents, children’s and adults. Advertising has a significant impact on our preferences and spending habits, especially on children’s. In the same way that it provides us with information about a huge range of things, it can create an artificial demand for consumers; for example, making people buy more junk food than necessary. 

On the other hand, children are not able to obtain junk food on their own. T, they need an adult to obtain it, so if the parents were more thorough with their son’s/daughter’s alimentation habits children obesity wouldn’t exist. It’s true that there are some parents that because of their economy are not able to give their son’s/daughter’s correct and balanced nutrition, for that reason the government should give economical support to this families.

In conclusion, I believe that although advertising has a very important paper on this issue, it is not the principal one. Parents should be a good example for kids and encourage them to have good nutritional habits.

WRITE YOUR TASK 3

It has been claimed that tourism can help intercultural understanding despite old problems and international rivalry. This can be achieved by enlarging people’s knowledge about other countries and cultures throw increasing opportunities for contact between different nationalities people. 

A good illustration of this is sightseeing, which can be used for multiples things. The most common advantage of sightseeing is the opportunity that it gives you to know new people and connect with their local customs. Another use for sightseeing is education, making travels with the school to other places is a good way to make students enjoy learning a new idiom and develope tolerance towards people different from them.

Furthermore, tourism can be the solution we need to solve almost all the international problems that are around the world and a very easy way to prove that is the existence of cultural events like Olympic games. During the Olympic games, people around the world are gathered in the same place, where are able to share ideas, experiences, and create a sense of camaraderie that can perdure several years. If we foment this type of things, we will make the world a better place where racism will not exist. 

To sum up, some people may be against the idea of use tourism as a way of breaking the limits that exist between people from different culture, but they are wrong because that is exactly what we need.
